Meet Our Staff

Lesly Geronimo, Clinical Manager

Lesly joined HHP as a Clinical Assistant in May of 2022. 

 

She is originally from The Bronx and graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. majoring in Biochemistry and double minoring in Psychology and Dance on a pre-med track. While at Hunter, Lesly researched biomechanics in relation to dance in genres such as Ballet. 

 

She plans to apply to medical school to become a pediatrician. In her free time, Lesly loves to read, cook, and spend time with friends.

Agie Sissoho, Clinical Assistant and Inventory Specialist

Agie is a Clinical Assistant at Hudson Heights Pediatrics. She is originally from Banjul,The Gambia and moved to the Bronx at age 12 where she’s lived ever since.

 

Agie graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a B.A in Neuroscience and Behavior while on a pre-health track. At Barnard, Agie was a Residential Assistant and Captain of a Bollywood/Hip Hop Fusion Dance team. 

 

She plans to apply to medical school to be a pediatric neurologist/ psychiatrist. In her free time, she loves watching thrillers, kdramas and playing with her oculus. 

Daisy Laserna, Clinical Assistant

Daisy is originally from Miami, Florida.  She graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Biology on the pre-med track.  While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Daisy spent time volunteering in the ER at Mount Sinai Morningside.  Prior to joining HHP, she worked as an inventory specialist at CVS Pharmacy.  

Daisy plans to apply to medical school to become a family practice physician. In her free time, she loves to read, bake and spend time with friends and family.

Kimberly Tufton, Clinical Assistant

Kimberly joined HHP in June 2023 as a Clinical Assistant.   She is originally from Kingston, Jamaica and moved to New York for college.  She graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior and is currently on the pre-med track.  

 

While at Columbia, she was an active member of the Caribbean Student's Association and the Columbia University Dance Team. She was also recruitment director of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. She currently volunteers weekly in the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai.

 

During her free time, Kimberly enjoys travelling, eating Jamaican food and reading books. She is currently applying to medical school and hopes to become a pediatric cardiologist.  

Magdalene Pernambuco, Clinical Assistant

Magdalene is a Clinical Assistant specializing in billing.   She is originally from Manhattan and graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in General Biology on a pre-med track. While at Barnard, she worked for the Well Woman health service.

 

In her spare time, Magdalene enjoys practicing judo and trying out new foods.

Britney Cerina McClane, RN

Britney is a Registered Nurse at Hudson Heights Pediatrics.  Originally from Central Florida, Britney earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2015. She graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing in 2022 and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Pediatric Primary Care.  Her passion for working with children led her to roles in maternal and child health around the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a Milieu Counselor at Boston Children's Hospital, providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents. She later transitioned into nursing, becoming an active member of the Columbia nursing community and engaging in community service projects throughout New York City.

In her free time, Britney spends time outdoors either enjoying a nice meal with friends or watching live performances in the park.

Sophie Vilamara, RN

Sophie is a Registered Nurse at Hudson Heights Pediatrics. She grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Case Western Reserve University. At CWRU, Sophie served as a Student Body President, Resident Assistant, and Research Fellow for a HRSA study on enhancing the RN’s role in primary care. Prior to becoming an RN, Sophie completed her Nurse Externship at the Cleveland Clinic’s Heart & Lung Transplant Unit. 

 

She is currently in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Columbia University and plans to practice in the outpatient setting as an NP alongside becoming involved with healthcare policy reform. 

 

In her free time, Sophie enjoys traveling and being with friends and family. Sophie’s simple pleasures include being in nature with good music, coffee, and books.
