Adolescence is a period of major change for many people. With that in mind, Hudson Heights Pediatrics wants to make sure that you have access to the resources that may help you navigate some of the experiences you may have throughout your teen years.

You have questions about birth control options? Join the club! So many people wonder what options are out there for birth control and which ones may work for their lives and bodies. It is always recommended to discuss these options with a doctor but if you’d like some information prior to even taking that step, check out bedsider.org.

 

Bedsider is an amazing website that goes through many birth control methods, their pros and cons, where you can get them safely and comfortably, and has tons of answers to commonly asked questions. Questions about puberty, sexuality, or sex ed? Then check out Amaze, a website filled with accessible videos that are designed specifically for teens, to take the awkward out of sex ed. Their videos cover a wide range of topics like puberty, gender identity, sexual orientation, STDs, healthy relationships, and more.

Check out some of their videos for easy to understand, comprehensive information on these topics. If you'd like to discuss any of these topics with your pediatrician, please always feel free to set up an appointment with us.

ACOG is an informative website with tons of resources to help you schedule your first gynecologic visit. ACOG has resources on when you should have your first visit, and what to expect during an exam as well as many other resources.

 

 

Gyknow is a fun, informative website designed to help reduce your anxiety about visiting the gynecologist. With step by step walkthroughs and scripts to help you schedule your appointments as well as find a doctor in your area, Gyknow has tons of great information to help!
